I am a personal trainer. Fitness is what I do. I like to think I am pretty fit. Some days I lead three outdoor fitness boot camps, train 6 clients and do my own workout all with out coffee (sometimes). And after all that I am rarely sore. So when I woke up Friday morning, moves my arms to stretch and said OWW! My biceps were really sore. As I got dressed and reached for my pants in the bottom dresser drawer my oblique didn't want to move the same direction I wanted to move. Man were they sore. So what was it that got the trainer sore? You may be just as surprised as I am was. I bought my kids a WII and decided to try it out with my husband. I KO'd him in boxing 3 games in row and had so much fun! WII is awesome! My experience with soreness was a great reminder of how doing something different than you normally do is what get's your body to wake up from its slow burn slumber. That's why Outdoor Fitness Boot Camp works so well for most clients. We meet 18 different times and we do 18 different workouts. Now that I have had a good reminder of how variety really makes a difference, my boot campers can expect a few surprises over the next few weeks.
Until next blog
